Week 3

Activity for week 3:

Proposal format
 Day 1:
I began writing the document step by step explaining the details of my idea. Having completed the proposal, I then had a better understanding of what I was going to do and what I wanted to achieve with this project, and I can refer back to this proposal when I get stuck. This is the base I can always return to if I need help.

 Day 2: Research about microcontroller

Microcontroller is a single chip that contains the processor (the CPU), non-volatile memory for the   program   (ROM or flash), volatile memory for input and output (RAM), a clock and an I/O control unit. Also called a "computer on a chip," billions of microcontroller units (MCUs) are embedded each year in a myriad of products from toys to appliances to automobiles. For example, a single vehicle can use 70 or more microcontrollers.
example of microcontroller = arduino atmega
 Day 3: Research about filter
Filters of some sort are essential to the operation of most electronic circuits. In circuit       theory, a filter is an electrical network that alters the amplitude and/or phase characteristics of a signal with respectto frequency.Filters are often used in electronic systems to emphasize signals in certain frequency ranges and reject signals in other frequency ranges. Such a filter has again which is dependent on signal frequency.

 Day 4: Research about amplifier
An amplifier uses a small input signal to create a large output signal, while minimizing     distortion of the waveform. Amplifiers are used for both electrical and optical signals.

Day 5: Complete proposal and submit to supervisor
